No end in sight for Saskatoon’s transit lockout

Labour talks have once again broke down between the city of Saskatoon and the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 615.
Union president Jim Yakubowski said the gap between the city and the union is the pension.
Last week the labour relations board ordered a stop to any further changes to the city’s general pension fund.
The union says that means the pension changes aren’t in place yet, but the city assures the public those changes are in place.
No further talks have been scheduled. Both will meet in front of the labour board Friday.
