Producers across Saskatchewan are dealing with bad weather delaying harvest.
Saskatchewan Agriculture’s Weekly Crop Report says only 72 per cent of the crop is combined compared to a five-year average of 84 per cent. Meanwhile, 19 per cent is swathed or ready to straight cut compared to the five-year average of 11 per cent.
Of the crop already harvested, Saskatchewan Agriculture says 13 per cent of hard red spring wheat is expected to fall into the 1 CW grade, 35 per cent in 2CW, 33 per cent in 3CW and 19 per cent is CW feed.
Farmers continue to deal with strong winds and rain. High levels of fusarium head blight are also being reported.
