Raiders give up 14 total goals in back-to-back losses
An adjustment period was inevitable for the Prince Albert Raiders as they are adapting to their new coach Marc Habscheid, but the adjustment is starting to feel like it’s from an unlicensed chiropractor—quite painful.
The Raiders gave up the most goals they have all season in an 8-3 loss Wednesday to the Regina Pats, the Raiders’ third consecutive loss. Their previous high for goals against came in Friday’s 6-2 loss to the Seattle Thunderbirds.
The skid started on Nov. 5 in a 4-2 defeat to the Calgary Hitmen as the Raiders haven’t won since Habscheid’s Raider debut on Nov. 1 in a 5-2 win over the Saskatoon Blades.
“The one thing that was disappointing tonight was the effort—I didn’t really like the effort,” said Habscheid. “It wasn’t up to standard.”
