The Prince Albert Raiders plan to unveil a new alumni section honouring a former player on Friday night.

Prior to the game against the Swift Current Broncos, the Raiders organization will unveil its fourth alumni section in the Art Hauser Centre: Section 8 will be named in honour of the late Warren Harper.

Harper was born and raised in Prince Albert. He made the Raiders in 1980, and helped the club win two Centennial Cup Championships. He is only one of two Raiders to play in both the SJHL and WHL with the team.

In 1983, Harper was drafted by Scotty Bowman and the Buffalo Sabres and started his pro career with the Rochester Americans of the AHL, leading them to the Calder Cup title in 1987. Harper finished his career in Europe.
