Convicted cocaine trafficker gets 18-month sentence

A man charged in connection with one of Prince Albert’s biggest drug busts will serve 18 months in jail.
Keegan Venne, 22, was sentenced Tuesday afternoon at Court of Queen’s Bench.
He was arrested nearly two years ago after he was pulled over south of the city near the intersection of Highways 2 and 11. Inside the vehicle police found a bag of cocaine worth $40,000.
Venne was then charged with possession of cocaine and possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.
