Raiders’ Stewart suspended 1 game, team fined for fight

Prince Albert Raiders defenceman MacKenze Stewart has been suspended for one game by the WHL for his role in a game-ending brawl on Wednesday against the Moose Jaw Warriors.

Stewart, 19, won’t be in the lineup when the Raiders host the Saskatoon Blades on Dec. 27.

The league also fined the Raiders $1,000.

Stewart was suspended for one game earlier this season for a game-opening fight against the Swift Current Broncos in November.
