Alleged Regina serial killer makes appearance on new charges
The number of alleged victims is rising as Clayton Bo Eichler made an appearance in a Regina court room Friday morning.
Eichler has been in custody since first being charged with second-degree murder on New Year’s Eve 2013 in the death of 21-year-old Kelly Goforth. Police upgraded the charge to first-degree murder in May 2014, and charged Eichler with first-degree murder in the death of 23-year-old Richele Bear as well.
On Thursday, police laid more charges against Eichler for a sexual assault that happened before Goforth and Bear were killed. Eichler is charged with aggravated sexual assault and choking a women in a July 2012 crime.
Despite the growing number of alleged victims, the court room was fairly bare Friday morning. Eichler sat between two guards while in the court room’s prisoners’ box wearing an orange jumpsuit. He starred towards the front of the room, and stood once his case was called.
