RCMP report sudden death in Pelican Narrows

Pelican Narrows RCMP are reporting on a sudden death in the northern community.

Officials say an unresponsive 38-year-old man was brought in by EMS workers to the Angelique Canada Health Care Centre in Pelican Narrows on Tuesday morning.

Pelican Narrows RCMP had arrived at the clinic on an unrelated matter and witnessed medical personnel pronounce the man dead.

Officers are working to notify the man’s family so his name will not be released at this time.

An investigation into his death is underway with the assistance of RCMP Major Crimes North and the Chief Coroner’s office.
