Warman fire crews rescue woman from car in South Sask. River

Jan 17, 2015 | 2:46 PM

A Warman woman was rescued from the chilly waters of the South Saskatchewan River last night after her car went through the ice.

The woman was driving across the ice bridge between Warman and Aberdeen around 8 p.m. when the ice caved.

She managed to get on the roof of her car and Warman Fire crews rescued her before the car sank.

Fire Chief Gord Thompson said it’s been a couple years since a car went through the ice.
