Variety – The Next Generation Show Features 17 Local Youth

The auditions for the Variety – The Next Generation variety show for Winter Festival saw a large turnout of singers, dancers, musicians and a beat boxer, Sunday afternoon at the ANAVETS’ hall.

Variety – The Next Generation, to be produced by Donny Parenteau will feature 17 youth representing fantastic young talent from Prince Albert and areas as far as Tisdale, Big River and Montreal Lake. The show will be February 18th at the Exhibition Centre.

“I was very surprised at the talent I heard today alongside judges Ron Samson, Boyd Faulconer and Pam Cochet,” Parentau commented after the auditions. “We are anticipating a great show with the help of Pam Cochet Music donating her services to help the performers with stage presence / vocals and showmanship.”

He also extended gratitude to the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans (ANAVETS) for donating the facilities & Karaoke music and special thanks to the PA Winter Festival committee for hosting the The Next Generation youth variety show.

Those participating in the show vary in ages from 9 to 17 years of age:

  • Kassidy  Morley, vocals, age 17
  • Teegan Boyer, guitar and vocals, age 16
  • Hanna Gaudry, vocals, age 12
  • Gaku Satoh, a Japanese exchange student who plays violin, age 17
  • Layton Ferster, guitar and vocals, age 12
  • The Hart Brothers, a bluegrass band, ages 15 and 16.
  • Brooke Andrews, vocals, age 12
  • Travis Beatty, guitar and vocals, age 16
  • Daina Wilson, vocals, age 16
  • Alaina Naytowhow, jigging, age 12
  • Brina Georget, vocals, age 14
  • Kelsea Davies, vocals, age 15
  • Liam Cay, guitar and vocals, age 9
  • Jacey Perret, dance/performance, age 14
  • Jerome Echavez, beat boxing, age 17
  • Conner Anderson, guitar and vocals, age 16
  • Faith Akers, vocals, age 11
