RCMP investigating death of 31-year-old male in Shellbrook as homicide

Shellbrook RCMP are investigating the death of a 31-year-old man found at a home in Shellbrook Saturday as a homicide.

Police were called to a home on the 300 block of Fourth Ave. at around 3:20 p.m. on June 30 for a complaint of an assault. Lindsay Arthur Voyer was found dead inside the home, according to a release from RCMP Sunday afternoon.

Major Crimes Unit North was called in to assist in the homicide investigation, which remains ongoing with help from the provincial coroner’s office, the general investigation and forensic identification sections. 

While no suspects are in custody, investigators do not believe there is a threat to public safety. 

Police said an autopsy will be conducted Tuesday in Saskatoon.
