Raiders keep playoff hopes alive; win 3-2 SO vs. EDM
On Tuesday, the Prince Albert Raiders did something they haven’t since March 11, 2011—beat the Edmonton Oil Kings at the Art Hauser Centre.
But where they are in the season, breaking a streak like that with a 3-2 shootout win was nice, but wasn’t quite enough.
“It would have been nice to win in regulation, considering we’re chasing these guys,” said Raiders forward Austin Glover, who tied the game 2-2 in the second period. “But a win’s a win. We’ll take it.
“I think it was a pretty gritty effort tonight. Not a lot of great scoring chances each way and I think that’s what we’re going to need from the rest of the season in the final nine games.”
