Sweden hammers Finland in World Under-17 Hockey Challenge opener

QUISPAMSIS, N.B. — Jesper Wallstedt made 47 saves to lead Sweden to a 6-1 win over Finland in the opening game of the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge on Saturday.
Alexander Holtz, Erik Hedlund, William Hallen, Lucas Raymond, Zion Nybeck and Daniel Ljungman scored for Sweden.
Roby Jarventie had the lone goal for Finland.
Meanwhile, a game between Canada Red and Russia was suspended in the third period because of a power outage. The game will resume on Sunday with Russia leading 3-2.
