Indigenous-owned 5Buds Cannabis opens in Warman
For the first time since recreational marijuana became legal on Oct. 17, 5Buds Cannabis opened its doors in Warman.
The Saskatchewan company will split its profits between 13 First Nations in the province that invested in it.
“Our staff feels a lot of pride in the fact that we have that partnership and that money is going back toward a community,” retail general manager Corey Tyke said on opening day.
Unlike some stores that have struggled with stock levels or had to implement purchase limits, Tyke expects 5Buds will be OK.
