Wormworth wins Ladies Northerns, men getting ready for Lobstick
Prince Albert’s Karly Wormworth has many accomplishments as a golfer. She attended the Savannah College of Arts and Design in Savannah, GA for five years and played golf in a competitive college circuit for the majority of her time there.
However the young lady who grew up at Cooke Municipal had never won the Northern Ladies Amatuer title on her home course until Sunday.
“It’s nice, yeah I’ve never won it before” said Wormworth. “It’s a pleasure.”
She was the model of consistancy with two rounds of 81. Karly’s 162 total was three shots better than Pauline McDougall with Kim Risulmi another shot back in third. Risulmi tgopped the leaderboard with a one shot lead on Wormworth after the first round but carded an 86 through the final 18 holes.
