P.A. shuts off rural water utility; frustrates residents
Residents of nearby Prince Albert municipalities may have found themselves without water this weekend. Some took to social media to express not only their displeasure, but their frustration claiming they were not given advanced notice.
On Sunday, the city of P.A. shut off the water supply to the rural water utility as a result of the oil slick travelling down the North Saskatchewan River. Because the situation is expected to last “for quite some time,” the utility is looking for alternate water supplies.
One commenter on paNOW’s Facebook page asked, “Why turn off the rural water, though? Do we not pay for the same service that the people living in the city does…”
Two other commenters may have accepted their situation, but were not pleased they hadn’t been given any warning.
