Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-sign defensive back Demond Washington to CFL deal

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-signed American defensive back Demond Washington on Friday.

Washington, 30, started seven games for Hamilton last season, registering 32 tackles, one sack and a forced fumble. The five-foot-nine, 178-pound Washington also returned one punt for nine yards and four kickoffs for 72 yards.

Washington has played 74 career games with Hamilton and Winnipeg (2012-15), recording 268 tackles, six sacks, six interceptions, seven forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. He has also returned 79 punts for 795 yards  with three TDs and 88 kickoffs for 1,765 yards and a touchdown.
