The Saskatchewan Scotties Tournament of Hearts got underway yesterday in Tisdale.
Stephanie Lawton, who curls out of Saskatoon, but has ties to Prince Albert and Shellbrook, defeated defending champion Jill Shumay 5 – 3 yesterday.
Lawton will play her next game this afternoon at 2 p.m.
