Great Escape 29 winner considers family trip to Disneyland

The annual contest run by Power 99FM started the last week of August and culminated with a totally awesome 80’s themed party at the Art Hauser Center’s Ches Leach Lounge. Throughout the night, 97 names were pulled from a bucket until the last two contestants remained and the final name pulled was named the winner.

“You always wonder when your name’s gonna come up next, but then all of a sudden you’re in the final two and here we are,” Audit said.

In addition to the elimination draw, the night featured lots of prizes, games and bright outfits. The event also represented Power 99’s Owen Pearson first time as a host.

“It was the best. Honestly being around this community, getting more involved in Prince Albert, I’ve only been here over a year, and let me tell you it was worth being here for this,” he said.

Pattison Media Retail Sales Supervisor Jocelyn Zawacki noted the fact the build up to the big event featured lots of hard work and preparation including live on-locations almost every day of the week, and people also qualified people online with the text-in-to-qualify option.  

“it’s a sigh of relief that we get through it, but it’s always exciting to see someone win a big prize like that, even the 2nd prize part is, it’s just awesome.”

The runner-up prize was a 65 inch TV.
