August 16, 1953 – October 13, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Brian Spence, on October 13, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Brian will be lovingly remembered by his brothers and best friends, Derrick and Barry Spence, both of Prince Albert; and his sister, Lana, of Calgary. He is also survived by his partner, Imelda, and his daughter, Kiddie, as well as his three dogs, Casper, Winter, and Gus, who brought him much love and companionship throughout his life.
Brian was predeceased by his parents, Ellen and Gordon.
Brian attended Riverside High School. He also served in the militia, which was an important part of his life journey.
For many years, Brian worked as an owner-operator taxi driver, meeting people from all walks of life and becoming a familiar face in the community.
Brian had a special love for his three dogs, who were an important part of his everyday life. He regularly took Casper, Winter, and Gus along with him in the car. They provided Brian with faithful companionship wherever he went. They were much more than pets; they were cherished members of his family.
An avid sports fan, Brian was a devoted supporter of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, the Prince Albert Raiders, and the Toronto Blue Jays. He enjoyed following his favourite teams and travelling to take in sporting events, creating many memories along the way.
Brian enjoyed some travel and explored different parts of the world throughout his life. In his younger years, he travelled to Europe with his brother Barry. His adventures later took him to Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Mexico. He also travelled throughout Canada and the United States, often taking in sporting events along the way. Some of his most treasured travel memories were made in Cuba, where he made several trips with his brother Derrick.
A lifelong car enthusiast, Brian had a genuine appreciation for fine automobiles and enjoyed owning some very nice cars throughout his life. His passion for cars was another of the many interests that brought him happiness.
Brian will be remembered for the life he lived, the places he travelled, his love of sports and cars, and, most importantly, the special memories he shared with his family.
Per Brian’s wishes, no formal service will be held.
Rest in peace, Brian. We love you forever You will never be forgotten.
