David Roddy Bear was born on April 28, 1938, in Saskatchewan, and passed away on October 3, 2026, in Flin Flon, MB, at the age of 88 years.
David is survived by his loving family, his step-daughter, Lynda Custer; his daughter-in-law, Elaine Bear; his grandchildren, Doris (Phonz), Francine, Amy, Howard Jr. (Carol) Bear, Clayton “Chillz”, Colin (Joy), April, Carol, Charlotte, Deilyn; numerous grandchildren; his brothers & sisters, Arthur (Diane) Bear, Peter, Bobby, Nancy; his nieces & nephews, David Jr., Arthur, Jr., Oliver, Amanda, Caroline, Eric, Ian, Drucilla, Alexis; his friend, Ovide Linklater.
He was predeceased by his parents, Alex & Mary (née Ballantyne) Bear; his wife, Charlotte Bear; his son-in-law, Jack P. Custer; his sisters, Rhoda and Emma Bear; his brothers, Isaac and Baby Twin; his son, Howard M. Bear Sr.; his grandchildren, Damian, Olivia, Clayton I, Beverly, Dominic I, Dominic II, Anthony, Dominic (Choo Choo Man); his chapan, Cale Cursitor.
The Prayer Service for David will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, October 9, 2026, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, with Rev. Elaine Bear officiating. The Wake Services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, Saturday, October 10, 2026, and Sunday, October 11, 2026, at the St. Peter Anglican Church, in Deschambault Lake, SK. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, October 11, 2026, at the St. Peter Anglican Church, in Deschambault Lake, SK, with Rev. Elaine Bear officiating.
