Oct 5, 2026 | 9:28 PM

One of five men charged after a cocaine trafficking bust in Prince Albert, has been allowed to serve his two year sentence in the community (CSO) providing he can abide by a number of conditions.

Ibrahim Faisal Ahmed, 27, was sentenced Monday morning at Court of King’s Bench. A guilty plea was entered to possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.

On Feb. 1, 2024, members of the Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team went to a business in the 2600 block of Second Ave. W. Three men, believed to be trafficking cocaine, were arrested.

A search of the suspects resulted in the seizure of a loaded handgun, 185 grams of cocaine and $2,080.

Later that day, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 600 block of Seventh St. E.

Two more men were arrested at the house and police seized the following items:  $13,405, a loaded handgun, a 30 round magazine for the handgun, 362 gams of cocaine, and further evidence to support drug trafficking.

All five men were from Ontario.

Abdullah Dierie’s and Adbiaziz Mohamud’s are still before the courts and will be discussed at a November pre-trial hearing.

Abdullah Elmi’s and El Farough Salih’s charges were later stayed.
