Loaded gun found in vehicle after wanted man attempts escape

A loaded gun with a round in the chamber was seized by members of the Saskatchewan Marshals Service after arresting a man wanted on outstanding warrants.

The weapon, a .22 caliber rifle, was found after the suspect fled from a parked vehicle and it was on the floor by the driver’s seat. The rifle had a sawed-off barrel and stock.

TJ Faithful, 20, was arrested on Oct. 1. He is scheduled to make his next court appearance on Tuesday.

In addition to the outstanding warrants, he was charged with seven additional offences arising from the incident, including careless storage of a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
