A house in Prince Albert’s west flat neighbourhood, identified by neighbours as a source of ongoing problems, has been destroyed by fire.

Around 10:30p.m. Thursday, the city’s fire department was called to the 600 block of 18th street west. Deputy Chief Alex Paul told paNOW damage to the structure was significant but there were no injuries.

On Friday, a source close to the incident said the tenant had been evicted earlier that day and they figured this may have been some form of retaliation.

Bylaw officers were observed at the house to ensure no one had gone back inside.

paNOW has reached out to the Prince Albert Police Service for comment.
