Sandra was born at Rosthern Hospital on April 17, 1952. She grew up in Saskatoon, where she attended Westmount School, Bedford Road Collegiate, and Saskatoon Business College. Her first job was as a cook at the bus depot, followed by a position with Drs. Smith & Blackwell. In 1987, Sandra married and moved to Lucky Lake, where she worked at a potato farm. She lived in Big River from 1997 to 2003 and worked at several local businesses, including Timber Ridge Ski Hill and Pickerel Point as a cook, Co-op Agro, and Second Glance, a second-hand store. In 2003, she moved to Prince Albert and worked at Peavey Mart for 10 years before retiring. Sandra treasured her friendship with Val Lumb, whom she called “the big sister I never had.” She enjoyed crafts, cooking, cards, board games, bingo, Skip-Bo, dominoes, fishing—especially with her boys—dancing, and square dancing. Kaiser was the exception: no trump for her. Her favourite singer was Elvis and she enjoyed traveling.
