Donald, known to many as “Chumley” was born in Prince Albert, SK on September 16, 1954, and passed away September 3, 2026. He went to school in Hagen, SK, St. Louis, SK, Valleyview, AB, and Birch Hills, SK. He lived in many places throughout Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. He finally retired to Whitefox, SK to be close to the lakes.

Donald was an avid fisherman, golfer, and pool player. He was always busy inventing some sort of device.

Donald had many occupations over the years, most recently in construction, as an equipment operator on rigs in the oil patch, and for many years, drove bus for STC.

Donald was a little “gruff” around the edges but still will be greatly missed for his smile, his sense of humour, and his love for his family.

He will be remembered by his siblings, Roger Holmevik, Debbie (Mike) Zapotoczny, and Bonnie Holmevik (Brian Lemecha); his nieces and nephews, Michelle (Kevin) Friesen, Michael Holmevik, Jordan Zapotoczny, Julianna Zapotoczny, Trevor Inglehart (Ashley Grayson), Travis (Courtney) Inglehart, Taylor Lemecha (Jocelyn Arthur), Temesha (Kyle) Debler, and Aaron Lemecha (Yzann Perrault); as well as numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Donald was predeceased by his parents, Evelyn and Haakon Holmevik; his grandparents, Edna and Raymond Evans, and Hanna and Hans Holmoyvik; his sister-in-law, Linda Holmevik, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
