William Keith Gamble

Our much-loved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, William Keith Gamble, passed away at the age of 78 at the Riverside Health Complex on September 1, 2026.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Linda (nee Klassen); daughters Tanya (Victor) Hamm and Candice (Julian) Kerr; grandchildren Emma (David) Lenko and Liam Kerr; and three great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Bekka Mae and Edith Lenko. His sister-in-law Grace Gamble and brother-in-law Russell Works.

Keith was born on December 31, 1947, in Rabbit Lake, Saskatchewan to Wendell (Slim) Gamble and Ellen (nee Forest). He grew up in a large family on a farm three miles north of Medstead, Saskatchewan. He had five brothers-Gordon (Myrna), Richard (Lillian), David (Patty), John (Grace), and Wendell- and one sister, Genevieve (Russel) Works.

Keith was a man of many talents. He spent most of his working years stuccoing in the summer. During the winter, he took on a variety of jobs, including seismic work, drywalling and framing houses. He worked across Western Canada and often took his family along with him.

In later years, Keith and Linda bought a quarter of land near Turtle Lake, where he eventually retired. He kept busy riding his quad, helping his children with whatever they were doing, and working on his acreage.

Above all, Dad’s greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They made him light up, even when he was very ill.

Dad was a man of little words. When he did speak, however, it was usually something wise, sarcastic or hilarious. His face often said it all, whether through his big smile, tightly knit eyebrows or mischievous grin. Those expressions could tell us exactly what he was thinking, and they will be among the things we remember most.

Dad’s humor, strength, calmness and love will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

A funeral service for Keith will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Livelong Community Hall. Memorial donations can be made in Keith’s memory to the Saskatchewan Lung Association.
