Mom has some very dear and close friends that she spent a great deal of time with. Germaine Gaudet, you were her voice at the end of every day. She looked forward to your call every night. Brenda Jobin, you are amazing, you took the greatest care of Mom. Going out of your way to ensure things were done!! Emily Fisher, Mom looked forward to all your evening visits! The birds couldn’t sleep when you too got going. Germaine, Brenda, Emily, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! You three are truly angels in disguise.
Mom had an amazing life and the privilege of living on her own right up until June when she moved in with us. She was 92. She loved to cook homemade meals and crochet her doilies. You always knew that if there was a dog around, guaranteed it was on her lap. She was the biggest Prince Albert Raiders fan out there. She held four season tickets for many years earlier on. When she could no longer go, she watched on tv or listened on the radio.
Thank you, Parkland Ambulance for your amazing care of Mom. Thank you, Victoria Hospital Emergency for the amazing care you gave Mom, every one of those people deserves a medal for the hard work and dedication. Always a gentle hand and smile. Thank you, 5th floor, again, your care was amazing. Thank you, Dr Veith for your compassion and all you did. Although Mom’s time was short at Rose Garden Hospice, Dr Alana Surkan and your team brought us the most comfort in the most difficult time, we have so much gratitude. Thank you, Father Jim for your kind words and prayers for all of us. Mom left us like a queen on a white cloud.
To honour Mom’s wishes, a Private Family Service will be held.
