Our dear Mary Pelech passed away on July 29, 2026, at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Lucy Pelech; and her siblings, Lena (Pelech) Godberson, Rose Pelech, and Harry Pelech. She is survived by her nephews, Eric Godberson and Dwight (Margarita) Godberson; nieces, Linda (Doug) Lamminen, Natasha (Lorne) Thompson, and Katrina Pelech; grand-nephews, Tristan, Evan (Chea), Leif, and Aren Godberson, Shea (Nicole) and Drew (Desiree) Godberson; grand-nieces, Karen (Lewis) Hough and Seija Lamminen; cousins, Ron (Linda) Pelech and Lynda (Barry) Stachyruk as well as, numerous others; and her aunt, Elsie (Peter) Pelech.

Mary was much loved by her family and congregation. Through her life she lived in Smeaton, Nipawin, and Prince Albert, SK, and had been a part of the Jehovah’s Witnesses congregations in each community. She had a fine reputation as a registered nurse and provided at home caregiving both before and after her retirement.

The family thanks Simon and Ruth Squire for their loving care of Mary over the years, as well as Pat Chuey at Good Shepherd Villa, Hilde Grover, and lastly, Maureen and the supportive staff at the Herb Basset Home in Prince Albert, SK.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Prince Albert, SK, 4350 2nd Avenue West. A discourse based on Mary’s belief in the Bible will be held, followed by a light lunch. Friends and extended family are all invited to attend.
