It is with great sadness that the family of Theresa Marie Watier, late of Prince Albert, SK, announce her passing on July 26, 2026. Theresa Watier (née Forseille) was born July 15, 1935, in Tisdale, SK.
Theresa spent her early youth in Tisdale, SK, before moving to Prince Albert, SK, for her teen years and early adulthood. Theresa worked at Kresgi and Safeway until she married Henry Watier on September 23, 1953. They welcomed their first son, Robert, in 1955. Soon after, the family moved to Uranium City, SK, for Henry’s work, where their second son, Denis, the New Year’s baby, was born in 1957. Vancouver was their next stop, where Roland arrived as a Christmas gift in 1958. Many more moves followed until the Watier family eventually settled in The Pas, MB.
After working at various jobs, Henry and Theresa opened Watier Jewellers, which they operated for 27 years. Retirement brought them full circle back to Prince Albert, where Theresa lived until her passing on July 26, 2026.
Theresa was a kind and generous person who lived life to the fullest. Family, friends, and her faith were very important to her. She enjoyed gardening, travelling, singing, and especially playing cards. One could always be sure that a crib board would be brought out whenever one of the Forseilles was visiting.
Theresa was predeceased by her parents, Jules and Hermine Forseille; her husband, Henry; her son, Robert; her sisters, Annette and Blanche; and her brother, Denis.
She is survived by her sons, Denis (Rita) and Roland; grandson, Sebastien; step-granddaughter, Alexa Marbella; her brothers, Louis and Vern; her sister, Rosalie and her friends who became family, the Stefanyshyn’s, the Walker’s, and Mabel Stuart.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Prince Albert, SK. Interment followed at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens, Hwy 2 S, Prince Albert, SK.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of River Breeze for the care they provided to Theresa, and the staff of Rose Garden for their compassionate care and support during her final days. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be directed to Rose Garden Hospice, 500 38th Street West, Prince Albert, SK, S6W 0A3, https://www.rosegardenhospice.ca/donations-fundraising/ .
