It is with the heaviest hearts, and with the deepest sorrow, that we announce the loss of our eternally loved, Jayden Ryan Dalke. He was tragically taken from this world on July 18th, 2026, near Lumsden, Saskatchewan. Born on June 8, 1996, in Red Deer, Alberta, to parents Shannon (nee Barry) and Ryan Dalke, Jayden spent his life being a big brother to his siblings Layne (brother), Jenna and Kayla (sisters). He spent his life in Leduc, Alberta, surrounded with support and love by his community and much of his immediate family. Grandparents Marlene and Dan Crowdis, and Dave and Pat Dalke. Aunts and uncles, Tyler and Melissa Barry, Marteen Dalke, Bryan Thivierge. First cousins (by age), Nathaniel, Marek, and Nyla Thivierge, Holden, Hanna, and Harper Barry. God-parents Rob and Tanya Dukeshire, Kirsten (Devan Green) and Lucas Dukeshire. Pre-deceased by his Great-Grandparents Bill and Irene Perlitz, Lloyd and Ethel Barry, Iver and Jean Dalke, John, Anna and Runa Hallson, and Grandfather Greg Barry. He had spent the last 11 years immersed in love and gratitude with his beautiful partner, Alana Mawhinney. They were creating a life together that was to be spectacular and exciting. Alana’s family, parents Blake Mawhinney and Cindy Thorvelson, sisters Brianna (Josh Lemire) and Megan (Martin Hansen) welcomed him into their family like one of their own. He loved them all dearly. He will forever be remembered by his extended family and many friends, as well as his Scholastic family from East Elementary, Leduc Junior High ,and the Leduc Composite High School. His football families from Leduc Minor Football, Leduc Composite High Tigers, Edmonton Wildcats, University of Alberta Golden Bears, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders were an immense influence in who he was for much of his life. The coaches, support staff and his brothers and sisters within the organizations were all very special to him. Who Jayden was to the world has been expressed to our family by many people that he touched with his kind and caring ways, his positive spirit, and his smile. Our families will be eternally grateful for the kindness, love, and support that has been showered upon us all. He was loved by so many…will be missed by even more…and will forever be in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers as we manage this world without him.
