City expanding fall swimming lesson spaces at Leisure Centre 

The City of Prince Albert says it will offer its largest fall aquatic programming schedule to date, with roughly 1,750 total spaces available for swimming lessons, leadership training and lifeguard certification courses at the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre. 

The programs will run from September through December and are aimed at meeting what the city describes as strong community demand for more swimming and water safety instruction. 

“For many years, we’ve heard from parents and residents who wanted to see more swimming lesson opportunities in Prince Albert,” said Riley Janes, the city’s acting aquatics manager. “This expanded schedule is a direct response to that demand.” 

Janes said the additional spaces will help more children, youth and adults build swimming and water safety skills while making aquatic programming more accessible in the community.
