Sherry Lee (Pollard) Trofimuk passed away, surrounded by her loving family, July 31, 2026, in Calgary Alberta.

Sherry was born in 1949 along with her identical twin sister Sharen, at what was the Prince Albert TB Sanitorium where her mother worked.  Sherry spent her childhood in Prince Albert and went to commercial school there before she followed her dream of living in Kamloops,  British Columbia surrounded by mountains and desert heat.  Shortly thereafter John followed her to B.C. where they worked and raised their kids until the early eighties.  Their lives in the seventies were filled with endless pool parties and a neighbourhood full of friends and families, many of whom mom kept in touch with long after they had moved back to Saskatchewan.

Sherry was a master fabric artist, teacher and award winning quilter.  Her ability to turn fabric into a masterpiece was second to none.  Each of her kids received 13 quilts on their wedding date, and many quilts were donated to those in need over the years.  Trips to craft shows always ended with “I could make that”, and she always did.

Sherry will be remembered for her work ethic, her generosity and her storytelling.  She was the centre of her family and every child and grandchild had special time with her puzzling, learning a craft, reading, playing a game or being regaled by her riddles and stories.  She was a voracious reader and collected and read all of the classics, and continued to share book lists and reviews with her kids.

Sherry and John celebrated their 56th anniversary July 25th.  John was the love of her life and their time was spent building houses and a cabin, camping, playing games, enjoying time in the outdoors or visiting with their friends or their kids.

Sherry is survived by her loving husband John, children Tania (Michael) Dosenberger, Finley and Koen, Terry (Jennifer) Trofimuk, Charlie and Charlotte, Geoff (Kerry) Trofimuk, Ben and Jack, her sisters Sharen Zembik and Carol Flinn and her brother Stan Pollard, and sisters in-law Laurie Pollard and Mary Luciuk.  She also will be remembered by her nieces and nephews and many friends.

Sherry was one of a kind and will never be forgotten by those who were lucky enough to  have spent time with her. She will be missed.

There will be no service as per her wishes.
