In Loving Memory of Sharon Kühn
December 20, 1954 – August 3, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Kühn, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, pastor, and friend.

Sharon was born on December 20, 1954, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, to Michael and Alice Kalyn. Sharon spent her childhood and teenage years on the family farm near Davis, Saskatchewan, alongside her younger sister, Judy. Those early years instilled in her a remarkable work ethic, resilience, and a deep appreciation for faith, family, and community.

In 1972, Sharon married the love of her life, Edwin E. Kühn, beginning a partnership that would span 54 wonderful years. Together they built their home and farm in the Clouston/West Central area, where they raised their two children, Glenn and Alana.

Sharon embraced every role in her life with enthusiasm and determination. She was a devoted farm wife, a loving stay-at-home mom, Dad’s trusted right-hand on the farm, a soccer coach, an accountant, and an entrepreneur who was never afraid to take on a new challenge. If something needed to be done, Sharon simply figured out how to do it – all in the days pre-internet. There truly seemed to be nothing she couldn’t accomplish.

Known by many names—Mom, Mrs. Kühn, Auntie Sharon, Ed’s wife, Glenn and Alana’s Mom, “The Cake Lady”, “Shotgun Sharon,” and “The Perogy Lady”—she was known above all for her generous heart, unwavering faith, her ability to cook and bake and willingness to help anyone in need.

Her love for God and her passion for learning led her into ministry, where she faithfully served as both a Pastor and later a Reverend. She devoted her life to sharing God’s love, encouraging others, and serving her community with compassion and grace.

Above all, Sharon loved her family fiercely. She was immensely proud of her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. She was an impeccable housekeeper, an exceptional cook and baker, and made everyone who entered her home feel welcome. Her love was most often expressed through acts of service, a warm meal, a listening ear, and steadfast support….and by the number of kittens or baby farm animals that were allowed in the house when Dad was at work.

Sharon was predeceased by her father, Michael Kalyn; her parents-in-law, Arthur and Emma Kühn; brothers- and sisters-in-law Inez Kühn, Wayne Kühn, Grace Kühn, Verna von Dohren, Peter Fofonoff Sr., Judy Kühn, Randy Reeves, and Dale Ebert.

She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 54 years, Edwin E. Kühn; her son Glenn (Elmarie) Kühn and their children Niaa, Ana, Tiaan, and Jano; and her daughter Alana (Jamie) Marjoram and their infamous mini bernedoodle, Jake-who Sharon called “my Jakey”.

She is also survived by her mother, Alice Kalyn (née Boychuk); her sister, Judy Kalyn; her brothers- and sisters-in-law Arnie Kühn, John von Dohren, Helen Fofonoff, Ivan (Darlene) Kühn, Vivian Reeves-Ebert, and Lenora (Garrey) Willock; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

Sharon leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith, unconditional love, hard-work, generosity, and perseverance. She taught those around her that life’s greatest rewards come from serving others, embracing challenges with courage, and never stopping learning.

Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the lives she touched through her ministry, and the countless memories she leaves behind.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts. Thanks for love and life, Mom.
