Wyant group donates 100K to Lake Country Co-Op Leisure Centre fundraising campaign

The Play It Forward campaign has received a huge financial boost.

The Wyant Group donated $100,000 towards the cause that supports the Lake Country Co-Op Leisure Centre. On Wednesday, representatives from the company wandered out onto the ice to present their cheque to the fundraising committee.

In recognition of their generosity, the Wyant Group name will be displayed on the ice re-surfacer – one of the facility’s most essential pieces of equipment, helping ensure high-quality ice conditions for residents, athletes, families, and visitors who use the centre year-round.

The Wyant Group has a long history of investing in Saskatchewan communities through business operations, employment opportunities, and community support initiatives.

The Play It Forward campaign is a community-led fundraising effort supporting the Lake Country Co-Op Leisure Centre. With the generosity of local donors, it is helping to create a space where residents of all ages can enjoy swimming, skating, and other recreational activities for years to come.

“This contribution goes far beyond equipment. It is an investment in community life. Every day, the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre brings people together through sport, recreation, and connection. This donation helps ensure that experience continues for years to come,” said Dawn Kilmer, City Councillor.

A similar donation was made last Fall by Meyers Norris Penny and the two companies have agreed to collaborate.
