Ardis Coreen Granberg was born on December 21, 1953, in Birch Hills, SK, the fourth child and only daughter of Everett and Selma Hastings. Her brothers are Ron, Gary and Grant. She completed high school at the top of her class in Birch Hills and then earned a Certificate from Business College in North Battleford where she met and soon married Ken Granberg from Canwood, SK. They had two children, Scarlett and Michael, and welcomed daughter-in-law, Angie and grandson, Beck. Ardis is also survived and loved by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ardis had a successful career and made many friends as an Accountant at the Shellbrook Chev Olds. She was an accomplished musician, especially on the piano. She was a great wife and mother who excelled at cooking and taught herself to knit. Ardis and Ken moved to Candle Lake, SK in 2007 where she loved feeding the birds and deer, that would even eat out of her hand. The Lake was one of her favorite places. She liked her computer and puzzle books and any kind of a challenge. Ardis and Ken had some great holidays and lots of fun times together.
Ardis was ill the last eight years of her life and passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, in Prince Albert, SK.
A Private Celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tribute, memorial donations can be made to the Salvation Army, Prince Albert Community Services, https://donate.salvationarmy.ca/page/69790/donate/1.
