Sinkhole appears in Prince Albert’s downtown

City work crews have closed the intersection of 1st Avenue W. and 11th Street W. while they repair a sinkhole.
The issue is connected to the sewer main, according to a notification from the city Wednesday morning.
No traffic will be able to make it through 11th Street W. from the Provincial Courthouse to Central Avenue until the work is done.
In 2022, a much larger sinkhole shut down traffic in the westbound lane of 12th Street W. near the EA Rawlinson Centre for weeks. That one was connected to a watermain break.
