Gladys Mary Salen

Gladys was born to John and Mary Popov in Blaine Lake, SK. One of six children, Mom was a twin. She grew up in a family rich in Ukrainian and Russian tradition.
In 1952, she married Ken Salen. They had two children, Debbie and Arlene. Mom lived her final years in Prince Albert.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (John) Sochaski; granddaughter, Amber Sharp (Kevin Haviland), and her children, Ryder and Evan Sharp; son, Buck (Lindsay) Sochaski, and her grandchildren, Luke, Lainey, and William Sochaski; daughter, Arlene Salen; grandchildren, Jeremy Kenney (Karen Steinke), Dixie Kenney (Luc Niven), and Sohmer (Kelly) Cheney; and their children, Julian, Vahn, and Lola Kenney; sister, Dianne Pogue, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Salen; parents, Mary and John Popov; sister, Violet Vaughan; twin sister, Angeline (Andrew) Hammond; sister, Edna Salen; brother, Lorne (Jean) Popov; her nieces and nephew, Linda, Renee, and Dale.
