Rudolph leaves Raiders to join Denver in NCAA
One of the fan favourites from the Prince Albert Raiders this season will not be returning to the Green and Gold.
Alternate captain and top prospect in the upcoming NHL Draft, Daxon Rudolph, announced via his Instagram that he has played his final game in Hockey Town North, as he has committed to the University of Denver in NCAA Division I for the 2026-27 season.
Rudolph was a key player in the Raiders’ Eastern Conference championship run this past season, posting 78 points (28G-50A) in 68 regular season games and 27 points (9G-18A) in 19 playoff games en route to a WHL Finals appearance, where the team fell in five games to the Everett Silvertips. Across his two seasons in P.A., he totalled 119 points (35G-84A) in 132 games in the regular season, and 39 points (10G-29A) in 30 games in the postseason.
“I am so grateful to call Prince Albert home. These last 2 years have been some of the best years of my life! I enjoyed every moment in PA since I was 15 years old,” Rudolph said in a post made on Wednesday.
