Longtime Prince Albert business confirms plans to close
A Prince Albert business that has operated in the city for 40 years and been a staple of the downtown for 13 years, is closing its doors.
Laurie Nyirfa, owner and manager of Country Comfort Bedrooms and Fine Furniture, told paNOW she hopes to sell all remaining inventory by the end of next month. She confirmed the decision to close was difficult.
“I love the downtown, I love the people, and we’ve had great success down here,” she said.
Nyirfa and her late husband, Daryl, started the business in 1986 at Great Canadian Wholesale. They later moved behind Canadian Tire for five years before relocating to the unit block of 13th Street West, across from Gateway Mall.
