Thursday house fire claims family pet
The Prince Albert Fire Department (PAFD) had their busiest day of service in over a week on Thursday with 11 calls to service, including a fire that claimed a family home.
Fire crews were called to the home on 26th Street East at around 5:40 p.m., where smoke was already coming out of the main floor and second story windows. Crews extinguished the fire and no injuries were reported, however, a family dog didn’t make it out in time.
A GoFundMe has since been created for the family, which can be found by clicking here. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
Other calls from Thursday include a motor vehicle collision in the parking lot of the Art Hauser Centre, an encampment fire, an outside fire, a lift assist, and four false alarms.
