Marva Alma Lubyk (née Cochran) passed away on April 19, 2026, at the Rose Garden Hospice with family by her side.
Marva was born in Prince Albert at the Holy Family Hospital to her parents, Joseph and Florence Cochran. She attended Queen Mary School, Separate High School, and PACI. Marva’s life consisted of being a homemaker/mother, she was a shareholder of General Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, and also some part-time employment at McDonalds, Wal-Mart, Store Demonstrator, worked at H&R Block, Huskey House, and Kresge. Her hobbies were cake decorating, quilling, baking, reading, hand painted blankets, scrapbooking, shopping. Many memories of involvement in Ukrainian dancing, spending lots of summers over 40 years at SunnySide Emma Lake, and loved traveling several times to Mexico and Hawaii.
Marva married Donald Lubyk on October 16, 1976.
Marva is survived by her husband, Donald Lubyk; her children, Ashley Lubyk (Kelowna, BC), Lyndsey (Billy) McLennan (Prince Albert); her grandchildren, Parker and Samantha, (step-Brandon, Justin, Brittany, Jaelyn). Her siblings, Shirley (Howard) Gange, Debbie (Barry) Salmond; her sisters-in-law, Pat, Carol, Doreen Cochran, Leona Pellerin; her nephews, Jeff, Jason Lubyk; her brother-in-law, Raymond (Donna); many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Florence Cochran; her parents-in-law, John and Mary Lubyk; her siblings: Irene, Flloyd, Bobby, Darryl, Robyn, and Bruce; her siblings-in-law, Larry, Darleen, Norman, and Darcy.
The Memorial Service for Marva will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Rose Garden Hospice in Prince Albert.
