It is with sadness that our friend, Donna Mullins passed away peacefully in Prince Albert, SK on April 09, 2026.
Donna was born on June 23. 1935 in Landis, SK. Her parents David and Rena (Dallyn) Cockburn, siblings Bruce, Carol-Anne, and Ronald moved to Prince Albert when Donna was a child.
After graduating from high school at Prince Albert Collegiate Institute, she entered the Registered Nursing Program at the Victoria Union Hospital in Prince Albert. When Donna became an RN, she started working at the Victoria Union Hospital in Recovery and became their head nurse. She remained there until her retirement; however, the Holy Family Hospital convinced her to come out of retirement and work in their Recovery Room. She worked casually for them until she made the decision to retire.
Donna married Gordon Mullins on April 20, 1957. They celebrated their 60th anniversary prior to Gordon passing away in December 2017. They were never blessed with any children, however had special pets especially her dog Muffin.
Donna enjoyed sewing and gardening “especially her flowerpots and garden”. Donna’s passion was being a care giver. First to her dad David, then her mom Rena, and finally to Gordon as he dealt with health issues for many years.
Donna is survived by her sister, Carol-Anne Cockburn; sister-in-law, Anita Cockburn and her children, Heather Cameron (Bruce Yuskow), Tavis (Laura) and their children, Beau and Grey; sister-in-law, Sandra Mullins and her children, Laura (Harold) Koenig and their son Brennan and Sean (Debbie) and his children, Mackenzie and Jordan; and her special care-givers Linda and Bob Hayes.
Donna was predeceased by her husband, Gordon; her parents, David and Rena Cockburn; brothers, Ronald and Bruce; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mae and Harry Mullins; brother-in-law, Donald Mullins and his son Robbie; and brother-in-law, Larry Mullins.
As Donna’s passion was her flowers, her Celebration of Life will occur in the summer of 2026 when the flowers are in full bloom!
