Joni is survived by her loving family, her special friend, Blair Michel; her children, Megan, Marion, Mitchell, Michael; her grandchildren, Jacek and Avrin; her mother, Alvina F. Charles; her sisters, Beatrice (Ivan), Tanya (Ben), Karen (Derek), Cheryl and Carol; her brothers, Darrell, Darcy (FayeAnn), Randall (Vanessa), Thomas Jr., Mark, Vernon, Tom, Charlie, Alex (Shayna); her grandmother, Margaret Ballantyne; her godson, Jesse Ratt; her nieces and nephews; her aunties and uncles; all her friends that knew and loved her.

She was predeceased by her father, Thomas G. Charles; her sister, Joyce M. Charles; her brothers, Thomas Jr., Craig, George; her nephew, Douglas Charles; her granddaughter, Winter Star Cook; her grandparents, Fred Ballantyne, John & Elizabeth Charles; her best friend, Theresa Swan; her aunties, Jacqueline Custer, Rebecca Ballantyne, Judy McCallum, Mary Custer, Helen Charles, Joan Michel; her uncles, Johnston Ballantyne, Douglas Ballantyne.

The Prayer Service for Joni will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at River Park Funeral Home, in Prince Albert, SK, with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. The Wake Services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the residence of Beatrice Charles, in Pelican Narrows, SK, continued Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Pelican Narrows Band Hall. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, in Pelican Narrows, SK, with Fr. Josi Chinthamalla, MSFS, officiating.
