Canada thumped 8-3 by Scotland at men’s world curling championship
OGDEN — Canada’s Matt Dunstone suffered his first loss at the world men’s curling championship with a 8-3 defeat to Scotland’s Ross Whyte in Saturday’s afternoon draw.
Scotland (1-2) took an early lead with a deuce in the first end followed by steals of one in the second and third.
Dunstone got two back in the fourth, but Whyte took a commanding 7-2 lead with three in the fifth.
The teams shook hands after trading points over the next two ends.
