Marie Rosaire Valida Lussier passed away peacefully at her home at the River’s Edge Villa in St. Louis, SK on March 18, 2026 at the age of 91 years. Valida leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, her children: Lucy (Dave) Stocki, Edward (Sandy) Lussier, Armand (Tracy) Lussier, Marcel (Susie) Lussier, Nelson (Monique) Lussier, Janice Nicolas, Ernest (Lesley) Lussier and Pauline Lussier; 22 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; her siblings: Doris McDougall, Marie (Raymond) Cochet, Alex (Eileen) McDougall and Greg McDougall. Valida was predeceased by her husband Emile Lussier, her parents Mederic & Marie-Anne (Lepine) McDougall, her parents-in-law Ernest & Marie Rose (Tessier) Lussier, her sons-in-law Glenn Nidosky and Dave Doucet, her grandchildren Marshall Lussier and Beige Lussier, her sisters Marina Cochet and Verna Petit; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Delores Lussier, Simone Lussier, Joyce Lussier, Lionel Lussier, Claude Lussier, Tony Petit and Sonny Cochet. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 10:00 am at the St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis, SK, with Rev. Fr. Phong Tran as celebrant. Interment will follow at the St. Louis Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Valida may be directed to the MS Society of Canada.
