It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Antoinette Katherine “Toni” Boyko on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Victoria Hospital, Prince Albert, SK, at the age of 79 years old.
Antoniette was born October 6,1946 in Wakaw, SK. Years later the family moved to a farm in the Alingly, SK district.
Toni enjoyed her childhood with her siblings and country friends as they all got into mischief while walking miles to school and creating many fond memories. “The Good Ole Days” included chores of milking cows, using the cream separator, along with all the work a farm home involved.
During her high school days, she travelled by bus on the country roads until she was able to move into the city with her sister. She lived in a tiny suite doing odd jobs of babysitting and housecleaning.
On October 8, 1966, Antoniette married Mike Boyko and their journey began, building a beautiful home and raising their family; son Darryl and daughter Shannon.
Mom was a very caring, loving, gentle soul who lived a basic life being raised with old school needs. She enjoyed her gardening, planting flowers, evening fires and hot dog roasts, napping with her fur baby cat “Suki”, enjoying her time spent with family, friends and grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
She retired working for Bee Clean as a janitor, enjoying making new friends while she was cleaning and always finding time to chat.
Antoinette is survived by her loving family, daughter, Shannon K (Brandon Fiddler) Zoerb neé Boyko; grandchildren, Sidney (Keston Campbell) Zoerb Boyko and Braydin Zoerb Boyko; sister, Gloria (Oliver) Lepine; brothers, George (Mary Ann) Harmatiuk, Denis (Colleen) Harmatiuk, and Allan Harmatiuk; as well as her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.
