Marilyn Lucy Charles (nee Bear)
February 25, 1949 – March 10, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marilyn Charles on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the age of 77.

Marilyn is survived by her three children: Shelley Wright, Melanie Wright (Frank), and Beverly Wright. She leaves behind three grandchildren: Hilary, Haley, and Greg; seven great‑grandchildren: Chenelle (Kobe), Roderick (Jorja), Isabella, Kashton, Dionne, Anthony, and Kaziah; and two great‑great‑grandchildren: Lilith and David. She is also survived by her brother, Barry (Ted) Bear (Teena), along with many friends, nieces, and nephews. Marilyn also leaves behind her cherished cats, James Bond and Midnight.

Marilyn is predeceased by her husband Greg Wright, her mother Ruth Bear, her father Roderick Bear, her brother Earl Bear, and her beloved cat Bruce, who was in fact, “the Boss.”

Marilyn deeply loved her family and grandchildren and was proud of every one of them. She adored spending time with them whenever she could. She will be missed by all that knew her.

A Celebration of Marilyn’s Life will be held on June 6, 2026, at the Muskoday Band Hall.  Further details will be provided closer to the date.
