It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Roy Ballantyne, late of Little Red River Reserve, SK on March 9^th, 2026, at the age of 55 years. Steven was born in Prince Albert, SK on January 1^st, 1971, to parents Lawrence “Larry” Sette and Mary Ballantyne. Steven will be lovingly remembered by his children Anthony Cote, Azalea Sutherland, Mihekun Ballantyne, & Mary-Lynn Hunt; his brothers Vernon MacLennan (Rose), & Richy Ballantyne (Ester); his nieces Nicole Ballantyne, Julia Ballantyne, & Jeanita Whitefish; his nephew Corey Ballantyne; all his Tik Tok family, many other family and friends. Steven was predeceased by his parents Lawrence “Larry” Sette and Mary Ballantyne; his brother Larry MacLennan; his sisters “Shenora” Sharon Blue Water, Carol MacLennan, Georgina Ballantyne, & Donna Ballantyne; his nephews Adrian Ballantyne, & Tyrell H.W Whitefish. A Wake Service will be held on Wednesday March 11^th & Thursday March 12th, 2026, starting at 7 PM Wednesday at the Little Red River School, in Little Red River Reserve. A Funeral Service will be held Friday March 13^th, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Little Red River School, in Little Red River Reserve. The Clergy will be Bishop Adam Halkett & Trevor Roberts. The Honourary Pallbearers are Sandy McKenzie, Carol Cook, Ernest Cook, Beverly Sanderson, & Laurie Lindskog and all those who knew and loved Steven. The Pallbearers are Justin Naytowhow, Krista Daniels, Niko Irving, Kennith Ballantyne, Solomon Cook, Wesley Ballantyne, Edward Cook, Nicki Ballantyne, Francis Roberts, Howard Halkett, Charles Hunt Jr., Mary Lou Bighead, Elmer Ballantyne, Brian Cook, Julia Ballantyne, & Cory Ballantyne. The Interment will take place at the Little Red River Cemetery in Little Red River Reserve, SK.
