Agile gun thief receives four-year sentence
A man who entered a Prince Albert gun store by way of a ventilation shaft, and attempted to steal a number of guns, has received a four-year prison sentence.
Garret Sanderson, 27, appeared Tuesday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court. Guilty pleas were entered to break and enter, possession of a unregistered restricted firearm, and possession of weapons for the purpose of trafficking.
Following his release from custody, Sanderson will be subject to a 10-year firearm prohibition.
The incident from July 4, 2025, was one of several break-ins and thefts that occurred at the store over a two week period.
